I create functional ceramic pottery and mosaics infused with touches of the natural world in earthy colors and botanical imagery. My framed mosaic wall-hangings are created with foraged wild clays and glazed with found materials like rocks, plant ashes, recycled glass, and ceramic waste. My mini oil paintings, painted on reclaimed wood scraps, depict the natural landscapes I’ve traveled to and collected natural ceramic materials from. My work spans several mediums, yet carries through a deep consideration for sustainability while maintaining a closed loop waste system throughout my studio practice.
