2025 Jenkintown Festival of the Arts Guidelines:

Application Process

We are delighted to invite artists to apply for the 2025 Jenkintown Festival of the Arts. Applications will be accepted from February to June, during which a volunteer jury—composed of dedicated members of our arts festival committee—will carefully review submissions. The committee will evaluate each entry based on artistic merit, creativity, and the variety of mediums represented. Notification of the committee’s decisions will be sent via email within three weeks of the application period’s conclusion, along with an invoice for your participation. A $25 dollar, non-refundable application fee is required. The fee will be applied to your balance upon acceptance to the festival.

Accepted Mediums

We warmly welcome artists working in a wide range of disciplines, including painting, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, digital art, photography, printmaking, jewelry, woodworking, and more. If you are unsure whether your work qualifies, please contact us for clarification or consult the list of eligible categories provided within the application. Artists whose art doesn’t fit into the above mediums will be judged on a case by case basis.

Selection Process

The committee’s primary objective is to curate a diverse and high-quality festival experience for attendees. Submissions will be assessed based on originality, craftsmanship, and broad appeal. While we value the participation of returning artists, acceptance in prior years does not guarantee selection for the upcoming festival. Our aim is to ensure the event remains fresh and engaging for everyone involved.

Enhancing Your Application

To strengthen your submission, we recommend including clear, high-quality images of your artwork along with a detailed explanation of your creative process. If available, photographs of previous booth setups can further enhance your application by providing the committee with a comprehensive view of your presentation.

Booth Specifications

Each participating artist will be allocated a 10×10 booth space to display their work. We require using a tent for weather protection, and all tents must be securely weighted to ensure safety. Additional booth spaces may be purchased if needed. Artists are expected to maintain a clean and professional setup, including a clearly visible sign with their business name. Please ensure walkways are kept clear to facilitate an enjoyable browsing experience for attendees.

Booth Placement

Although specific booth locations cannot be guaranteed, the festival layout is thoughtfully arranged to provide a balanced and engaging experience for visitors. While artists may indicate their preferences, final placements will be determined by the committee to ensure a diverse and harmonious arrangement of styles across the venue.

Festival Etiquette

A positive and respectful environment is essential to the success of the festival. We ask that all participants treat fellow artists, attendees, staff, and volunteers with courtesy. All sales and promotional activities must be confined to your designated booth space. Should any issues arise, festival volunteers are available to assist. Adherence to these guidelines is crucial; failure to comply may result in removal from the event.

Weather and Refund Policy

The festival will proceed rain or shine; however, in the event of severe weather, an affected day may be canceled without a rescheduled date. Please note that all fees—including those for applications, booths, and add-ons—are non-refundable.

Policy on Copyright and Trademark Compliance

Vendors at the 2025 Jenkintown Festival of the Arts must not sell or display items that violate copyright or trademark laws, including unauthorized use of logos, designs, or brand names (e.g., Philadelphia Eagles).

The JCA may inspect booths during the event and request the removal of any items deemed to be in violation. Repeated or serious violations may result in termination of participation without refund. Vendors are strongly encouraged to carry liability insurance to further protect their business.

Liability and Promotion Agreement

By submitting an application, participants grant the Jenkintown Festival of the Arts permission to use submitted materials, such as images, for promotional purposes. Additionally, participants agree to release the Jenkintown Community Alliance, its volunteers, partners, and sponsors from liability for any damages, theft, or injuries that may occur during the event.
